James was born to o Raliegh Forrest and Arla Rosella (Jacobson) Pannkuk.
He was a master carpenter, known for his cabinetry work and finish work and operated Janal Construction in Ashland, NE for many years.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Linda, parents, brother Larry and father in law Leonard Meinberg.

He is survived by his daughters and sons in law Janee Pannkuk, Omaha, Lanee and Tracy Smith, Camee and Bob Schofield, all Ashland, grandchildren Logan, Jessica, Corin and soon to be Selah James, friend Jane Prine, brother Merrill Pannkuk, Kissimmee, FL; first wife Lilly Harrington, Omaha, nieces and nephews.
