     WillisAnn "Susie" Rico was born August 15, 1938 in the rural Ashland, Nebraska area to Ivan Desmond and Stella Irene (Pike) Alley.   She died peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of  71.

     She graduated from Ashland High School in 1957, and was united in marriage to Roy Rico in Logan, Iowa on June 27, 1959

      Susie was a long-time employee with the Ashland Country Club and Linoma Beach Restaurant as a cook.

     She was a member of the Ashland American Legion Auxiliary #129.

      Susie enjoyed cooking for her family, having them all over every Wednesday night. Her greatest joy was her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy on July 7, 2007, and nephew Patrick Gilbert.  

     Susie is survived by her son Mark Rico, daughter and son in law Valena and Roger Smith, all Ashland; daughter in law Tana Rico, Greenwood; grandchildren Nathan, Jesse, Brittney, Shayle, Tonya and Abe; Great Grandchildren Rilee, Ireanna, Olyvia and Trey; Brothers and sisters in law Kenny and Gloria Alley and Jim and Vicki Alley, Ashland; many nieces and nephews.
