Carol Ann Stander

     Carol Ann (Wessling) Stander was born on June 18, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska to Edward and Rose (Haubrich) Wessling.  She passed away at the Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the age of 65.

      Carol grew up in the Bellevue, Nebraska area graduating from Omaha Mercy High School in 1961. She attended St. Joseph School of Nursing graduating in 1965.

      On February 12, 1966, she was united in marriage to Frank Stander at St. Mary Catholic church in Bellevue, Nebraska.  They lived on the farm south of Ashland where she helped Frank with farming.  Carol was employed with St. Joseph Hospital for a time after graduation.

       She was an avid golfer.

      Carol is survived by her husband Frank, Greenwood, NE; children and spouses Patty and Leinen Patrick, Omaha; David and Jenny Stander, Ashland; James Stander, Ashland; Cathy Stander, Beatrice; Debbie and Kevin Hutson, Omaha; 6 grandchildren Allie, Samantha, Masun, Jared, Jessica and Ty; Brothers Fr Floyd Wessling, Omaha; Ken Wessling, Bellevue; Sisters Merna Allen, FL; Rosemary Lubbers, Omaha; many nieces and nephews.
