Kathryn Sutton, 87 years, Waverly, NE formerly of rural Greenwood, NE, passed away Wednesday (12/30/09) with her daughter Sue by her side. She was born on December. 21, 1922 in rural Ashland, NE to Louis and Ola (Breedon) McReynolds. On December 23, 1941 she was united in marriage to Wayne E. Sutton at her parents home near Ashland, NE. Before moving to Waverly in 2006, Kathryn and Wayne lived on a farm near Greenwood for 42 years. She was an active member of the Cedar Hill Methodist Church and community. She enjoyed being outdoors, taking long walks and treating birds to fresh water and food.

Kathryn is survived by her chhildren and spouses, Alan and Maureen Sutton, Greenwood, NE, Linda Churchill, New Brighton, MN, Richard and Shirley Sutton, Lincoln, NE, Sue Hill, Waverly, NE, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters in law, John and Kathy McReynolds, Albuquerque, NM, Frank and Carolyn McReynolds, Tucson, AZ, sisters in law, Marjorie McReynolds, Pullman, WA and Dorothy Sutton, Mesa, AZ, nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was preceded by her husband Wayne E. Sutton, sister, Louise Stephens and brother William McReynolds. Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday (1/4/2010) at the First United Methodist Church, Waverly, NE. with Pastor John Ewton officiating.
