Lloyd R. “Pee Wee” Kelley was born Jan. 25, 1950 to Lloyd J. and Harriette (Grady) Kelley. Peewee grew up in Ashland, NE  and attended the Ashland Public Schools. In his early years he worked for Buchholz Concrete in Ashland. Later he lived in many different towns and worked as a truck driver for several companies. He had lived in Clay Center, NE for the last 20 years. He died May 12, 2010 in Clay Center after a 17 year battle with cancer at the age of 60 years. Pee Wee was baptized at First Christian Church in Ashland. He enjoyed tickling his little sister Linda with false teeth and when he was younger enjoyed roller blading. Pee Wee had the biggest heart for everyone. He would do anything to help you out. Even when he was so sick and should stay at home, he would make his rounds to his friends and family. Last September while taking one of his friends into Hastings because her car wasn’t working, there was a bad accident. Both Pee Wee and his friend Laura were thrown from the truck. Laura died and it bothered him very much. He couldn’t get over that no one got mad at him. It’s hard not to have him with us, but he won’t be sick anymore for he had cancer since 1993 and made it 17 years before it came back.

Pee Wee is survived by kids, Ray, Lloyd “LJ”, Cassandra and Steven; brothers and spouses Fred and Connie Kelley, Omaha, NE, Arnold and Donna Kelley, Sweetwater, TX, Darold “Toppy” Kelley, Fremont, NE, Troy and Linda Kelley, Fairbanks, Alaska; sisters and spouses, Anna “Lu” and LaVerne Wilken, Talmage, NE, Linda and Tim Noonan, Lincoln, NE, Sharon Kelley and Ted Zirianoff, Everett, WA; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and numerous kids who called him grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephew Rodrick Haroldsen, two great nephews and several cousins.
