Georgia Jean Mann was born on March 2, 1940 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Homer and Lesley (McFarland) Loutzenheiser.  She passed away  at her home on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Willow Point near Ashland, Nebraska at the age of  70.

Known as "Jean" to most, she graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1958, after attending grade school in Broken Bow.  Jean attended the Lincoln School of Business.

On September 21, 1958 she was united in marriage to Roger Mann in Council Bluffs, IA. 

Jean was employed at the Lincoln Police Department, Lancaster County Sherriff's Office and retired from her employment with the Lincoln Public Schools in 2001 being the Transportation Director there for many years, where she was dedicated to the safe transportation of children to school. Jean was known as the "Bus Lady". She received the highest Honor Award for employment from the (NAPT) National Association of Pupil Transportation.

She was lifelong member of the Methodist Church, being a current member at Ashland.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son.

Jean is survived by her husband Roger of Ashland; Daughters and spouses Tam (Jim) Hottovy, Gretna; Cathy (Scott) Christiansen, Omaha; Cindy Wokoma, Lincoln; Heidi (Neal) Herring, Gretna; 9 grandchildren Chelsea, Wade, Nicole, Dustin, Jacob, Logan, Benjamin, Zachary and Riley; Sister and brother in law Nancy (Mark) Gilderhus, Ft. Worth, TX.
