Robert "Bob" J. Nash was born
on September 17, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri to John and Mary
(Harris) Nash. He grew up in St. Louis County and graduated from
Normandy High School in 1954. In 1958 Bob received his degree as an
air craft mechanic from Parks Air College in East St. Louis,
Illinois. During that same year on December 20 at a Lutheran church
in Ferguson, Missouri he married Elizabeth "Liz" Rollhaus.
From 1961 to 1963
Bob served in the United States Army. In 1963 he began working as an
air craft mechanic for Ozark Airlines which later became Trans World
Airlines. Thirty-two years later he retired in January of 1995.
Bob was very
mechanically inclined and with the right amount of time could figure
out how to fix or solve anything. He was a perfectionist who kept
all of his equipment no matter how old looking and running like new.
He enjoyed music of all types and was a member of the Lionel Train
Colleting Club of America.
He passed away on December 30, 2010 at the Ashland Care Center in
Ashland, Nebraska at the age of 74. He is survived by his children,
Bob and his wife Tammy Nash and their daughter Madison,
daughter Sandra Nash, and sister, Judy Byrd. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
