Bernice was born to Martin and Grace Peterson. Bernice was one of three children.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  Bernice’s life centered around her family. Her home was always open to family and friends where they enjoyed many wonderful meals prepared by Bernice. She loved children and was a foster parent for many years. Her interests were many.  She was an excellent cook, an accomplished seamstress, an enthusiastic gardener, an avid reader, a talented piano and organ player, and a fan of crossword puzzles. The family wish to express their gratitude to the dedicated nurses and staff of the Alzheimer unit at Tabitha Nursing Home for the wonderful care Bernice received during her six and a half years there.  I
