Helen was born to Joseph and Rose (Buresh) Tichy. She grew up in
Dwight and attended school there. On February 7, 1950, Helen was
united in marriage to George Mach of Weston, NE. They resided on a
farm near Weston for 19 years. In 1969, George and Helen moved to
Wahoo. Helen
worked as a cook at the Saunders County Hospital for 14 years. George
died on Aug. 15, 1971, 37 years to the day before Helen. Helen had
been a resident the last 4 years at Lancaster Manor where she attended
mass, played bingo and crocheted doilies. She was a parishioner at St.
Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo.
Preceded in Death By: husband George Mach, parents, sisters Alice
Pacula, Adeline Dvoracek and Wilma Tichy, brother Joe Tichy, sister in
law Lucille Tichy, brothers in law Adolph Scharf, Bill Pacula, Rudy
Dvoracek and Dale Matulka
Survived By: daughter, son in law Rose Ann and Harry Richardson,
grandchildren Angela Faircloth, Tyler and Mandy Richardson, great
grandson Austin Faircloth, all of Lincoln, brother Frank Tichy, Bee,
NE, sisters Ann Scharf and Rose Matulka, both of Lincoln, several
nieces and nephews.
