Kenneth was born and raised in Fairfax, Missouri
until the age of ten when he moved to the farm by Malmo, Nebraska.
Kenneth started school to District 97 School in rural Malmo and then
attended Malmo High School. Kenneth loved to fish, play cards, listen
to polka music and his tours around the country with the Saunders
County Livestock Feeders Association. He was married to Irene (Krcmarik)
in December 28, 1943. They were married at St. Wenceslaus
Catholic Church, Wahoo.
Kenneth lived on the farm his whole life except for when he and
Irene starting traveling to Texas in the winter of 1987. In Texas they
lived in the RV Parks, "Fun and Sun" in San Benito where he and Irene
loved playing shuffleboard and most recently "Bit of Heaven" in Donna,
Texas. Kenneth was a lifelong farmer who also worked construction for
Peter Kiewit. He was also along time member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic
Church and the Saunders County Livestock Feeders Association,
Preceded in death by father, Joe Nordahl, mother, Lena (Gubser)
Dake and grandson, Larry Dean Cejka.
Survived by wife of 65 years, Irene of Malmo, Nebraska,
daughters and son in law, Patty
Cejka and special friend Ernie Luksik both of Weston, Nebraska, Lynda
and Brian Pemberton of Fremont, Nebraska, 3 grandchildren, Deanna and
husband John, Cory and wife Kim, and Becky, 4 great grandchildren,
Justin, Taylor, Kylie and Zach, sisters and brother in law,
Virginia Deboodt of Bellvue, Nebraska and Agnes and John Colgan of
North Bend, Nebraska, brother and sister in law, Charles "Mickey" and
Sharon Dake of Ames, Nebraska, many nieces, nephews and special
friends.
