Helen A. Odvody

Helen was born to John and Frances (Rys) Vaca. She attended country school district #84 and #85 near Prague and Prague High School. She was united in marriage to Fred A. Odvody on November 17, 1936 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague. They made their home on a farm near Prague where she helped Fred run the dairy operation. She also helped with the farming which included running a binder among other things. She raised chickens and a garden and did a lot of canning. She was a parishioner at St. John Church and was a member of the Western Fraternal Lodge.

Preceded in death by husband Fred A. Odvody, daughters Nadine Bly, Adeline Odvody, brothers Frank, John, grandchildren David Masek, Amber Styskal, Matt Styskal and Barbara Vasa.

Survived by son, daughter in law Gary and Rose Odvody, Cibolo, TX, daughters, sons in law Marge and Don Kemerling, Grand Island, NE, Joan and Robert Machacek, Weston, NE, sisters in law Judy Vaca, Cedar Bluffs, NE, Lillian Jansa, Wahoo, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
