Wesley was born to Alfred and Selma (Thompson)
Pearson. He attended district school #59 while the family
lived northeast of Ceresco and then district #48 after his family
moved to a farm east of Swedeburg. He then went to Swedeburg High
School from 1936 to 1937 before graduating from Ceresco High School
in 1939. In July of 1964 he married Anne Hodgkins of Louisiana in
Lincoln, NE. Shortly after they were married Wes and Anne
bought back the farm northeast of Ceresco where he was born.
Farming was a big part of Wes's life and he continued helping his
boys farm in Saunders County for many years after he retired. Wes
also loved his family and was a devoted husband. Day after day you
would find him taking a Diet Coke to Anne in the nursing home and
drinking a Dr. Pepper as they visited. He enjoyed having coffee with
his friends at Samuelson's Bake Shop in Ceresco. He was
confirmed at Swedeburg Covenant Church and later, after the birth of
his sons, joined the Evangelical Covenant Church of Ceresco where he
was a long time member. He and Anne spent many years on the farm
northeast of Ceresco before moving to Lincoln and then finally to
Wahoo where he was currently living.
Preceded in death by parents, an infant sister and 3 brothers,
Ralph, Lloyd and Glenn Pearson.
Survived by wife of 44 yrs Anne, Wahoo, NE, Sons and daughters in
law, David and Vickie Pearson of Wahoo, NE and Paul and Joni Pearson
of Ceresco, NE, 3 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren, many other
