Donna to Carl and Sadie (Johnson) Schwartz. Donna graduated from
Cairo High School in 1947. Following that she worked as a waitress at
Grant's Truck Stop. In 1962, she was united in marriage to Melvin Ruhe
in Grand Island, Nebraska. They lived in Waco for many years and moved
to Mead in 1970. Besides raising her family, Donna drove the school bus
for both Mead Public School and Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo for
many years. In 2003, she moved to Wahoo. She was a member of Fairbalt
Baptist Church in Fairbalt, Minnesota and had attended the Mead Covenant
Church for many years.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Schwartz and
Kathy Johnston, Columbus, Nebraska, Carla Ludacka, Wahoo, Nebraska,
Tommi Lynn (Louie) Joles, Valley, Nebraska, Edward (Jodi) Ruhe, Mead,
Nebraska, Melvina (Kevin) Langfeldt, Leshara, Nebraska, 14
grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, special
friends, Sharon Andresen, Donna Darnell and Beth Kellogg, all of Wahoo
and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband Melvin Ruhe,
parents, sister Viola Meyer and grandson Joseph Montanez.
