Albert was born to to Adolph and Johanna (Potthast) Firley.  He grew up near Chester, NE and graduated from Chester High School in 1951. Albert served in the US Army and afterwards, the Army Reserves. When he returned home he joined the family farm operation near Chester and Hubbell, NE. He was a grain farmer and also raised hogs, cattle and chickens.

In 1984 Albert began to work as a carpenter at various jobs and he worked at the Deshler Grain Elevator. More recently, he had worked for seven years at the Wahoo Civic Center in Wahoo. Albert was a former Hubbell Lions Club member and was currently a parishioner at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by: parents, sister Norma Jean Firley

Survived by his wife Lorraine, Weston, children and spouses, Rebecca and Kirk Nisley, Lincoln, NE, Brad and Linda Firley, Deshler, NE, Mike and Kellie Firley, Osawatomie, KS, Craig and Kathryn Firley, Omaha, NE, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sisters Darlene Rischling, Papillion, NE, Velma Kirby, Lincoln, Marie (Don) Vavra, Broken Arrow, OK, brother Adolph Jr. (Joann) Firley, Lincoln, many nieces and nephews.
