Denis Robert Malm passed away at his home with his family by his side. He was born to Robert and Dorothy (Rasmussen) Malm. Denis attended School District 48 near Swedeburg through the eighth grade and later graduated in the first graduating class at Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo. He was a student at the Seminary of Immaculate Conception in Missouri for two years and transferred to the University of Nebraska School of Law and graduated from there in 1971.

Denis moved to Lake Havasu City thirty-seven years ago. Upon arriving in Lake Havasu, he became a partner with Wing Wachtel and Don Biehn in the law firm of Wachtel, Biehn & Malm. He was a member of the Mohave County Bar Association serving as Secretary in 1978 and President in 1979, member of the State Bar of Arizona and also served on numerous committees from 1976 to 1998 and was a certified specialist dealing in injury and wrongful death litigation.

Denis is survived by his wife of five years, Karen Malm; sons Brian (Marissa) Malm of Maricopa, Arizona, John Malm of Las Vegas, Nevada, Glen Malm of Tempe, Arizona and Michael E. Harris of Parker, Arizona; daughters Kellie (Reuben) Tanner-Malm of Lake Havasu City, Natasha Malm of Peoria, Arizona; grandchildren, Mira, Dechen, Diego, Ayissa, Gavin, Kayla and Karley, brothers, Dr. John (Jane) Malm of Gregory, South Dakota; Charles (Kathy) Malm of Wahoo, Nebraska; Andrew (Lori) Malm of Plymouth, Michigan; sisters Eileen (Bruce) Pinkerton of Billings, Montana; Loretta (Lynn) Bendz of Bozeman, Montana; Mary Olsen of Denver, Colorado; Margaret Malm of Denver, Colorado; and Elizabeth Peterson of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Denis is preceded in death by his daughter Shannon Leigh Malm, and parents.
