Clara died  at St. Joseph Villa in David City, NE. She was born August 12, 1916 near Prague to Vaclav and Agnes (Odvody) Koranda. Clara was baptized and was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church of Plasi, NE during her years growing up. She attended Saunders County School District #84 and Prague High School. Clara was united in marriage to Max Polacek on September 30, 1941 in Prague. She was a stay at home mom who loved to cook, sew, flower and vegetable garden and quilt. Clara was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, the rosary society and Catholic Workman. She had been a member of the School Board of Saunders County District #51, the Prague American Legion Auxiliary and a past member of Prague First Aid. She was a long time member of the Prague Chapter Bloodmobile and a charter member of the Social Lites Extension Club.

She is survived by children, Adelyne Woita (Marvin), Weston, NE, Irene Rezac Epp (Ronald), Lincoln, NE, Carmen Hoppe (Richard), Richland, NE, and Kenneth Polacek (Deb), Prague; 11 grandchildren, Keith Woita, Wahoo, Glen Woita (Audrey), St. Louis, MO, Dale Woita, Weston, Allan Rezac (Shery), Raymond, NE, Mark Rezac (Elizabeth), Janice Strizek (Darren), Ceresco, NE, Sharon Munford (Todd), Raymond, Kenny Johnson (Connie), Prague, Jared Hoppe, Carl Hoppe and Philip Hoppe, all of Richland, NE; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Clara was preceded in death by husband Max, parents, sisters Agnes Palensky and Marie Sloup, brother Vaclav "Jim" Koranda.
