Helen A. Schroeder

Helen was born to Vincent and Julia (Kana) Bohaty. She grew up near Loma and when she was old enough, she moved to Lincoln, NE where she worked as a housekeeper. In 1939 she moved to Southern California. She worked as a waitress for several restaurants. On May 30, 1957, she was united in marriage to Harold Schroeder. They continued to live in California. Harold died in 1986. She had been living in Hemet, CA until moving to Wahoo in 2004 to be closer to family. Helen lived in her own home for one year and then moved to Westview Apartments. She had been a resident at South Haven since January 22, 2009.

Preceded in death by her husband Harold, parents, brothers John, Vincent, Fred and Albin Bohaty, sisters Marie Podolak and Marcella Bohaty.

Survived by her sisters and brother in law, Emily and Bernie Sladky, Wahoo, Betty Thompson, Santa Barbara, CA, brothers and sisters in law, Frank and Marie Bohaty, Wahoo, Dennis Bohaty, Assisa, NM, and Lillian Bohaty, Wahoo, many nieces and nephews.
