Agnes (Rezak) Vanek was born to Peter and Mary (Brabec) Rezek.  She grew up in Weston, NE and went to school there. On January 5, 1931, she was married to Emil Vanek in Prague, NE. They lived on a farm near Prague for a few years and in the late 1930's moved to Wahoo where Emil operated a poultry business.  Agnes was a homemaker and raised their daughter Beverly. Emil died in 1968 and Agnes went to work at the Wahoo Bakery for several years in the 1970's. She moved to Omaha in 1990 to live with her daughter and son in law. Failing health caused her to move to the Golden Livingcenter in March of 2009. Agnes had been a parishioner at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and attended Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Omaha after moving there. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #4502 and the Royal Neighbors of America.

Preceded in death by husband Emil Vanek, daughter Beverly Orsi, brothers and sisters.

Survived by son in law Frank Orsi, Omaha, NE, granddaughters Gwynette Orsi, Denver, CO, Lorette Orsi, Omaha, grandsons, Frank Orsi Jr., Steve Orsi, Mark and wife Pam Orsi, Michael Orsi, all of Omaha, 8 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren, sister Marge White of Washington.
