Esther was born in Bassett, NE on February 25, 1924 to Earl and Ida
(Krueger) Baldwin. She grew up at Bassett, NE and was a 1942 graduate
of Rock County High School. Esther attended Wayne State College and taught
elementary school in several towns in Nebraska. She moved to West Point, NE
where she met her husband, Lee Andresen whom she married March 3, 1945. They
lived in Washington for one and a half years and moved to Columbus, NE for
one year before moving to Wahoo in 1950. Esther opened the Cliff House in
1961 and operated it for ten years before leasing the facility. She opened
the House of Beauty in 1967 and operated it until the mid 1970's. Esther had
managed her rental homes since then. She was a member and past president of
the VFW Auxiliary Post #4502.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Josephine;
grand daughter Nicki Sudik; brothers Ira and Elmer Baldwin.
Esther is survived by sons and daughter in law, Gary Andresen, Michael
Andresen, Russell and Rhonda Andresen, Randall Andresen and his fiancé Mary
Dailey, all of Wahoo, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great
great grandchildren, brother Edward Baldwin, Olympia, Washington, close
friend Jacob Staska, Wahoo.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 10:30 A.M. at Svoboda Funeral
Home in Wahoo.
Clergy: Rev. Darwin Garton, Honorary Bearers are her grandchildren.
