Mildred M. Cuda, 87 yrs. of Wahoo, NE died December 15, 2010 at South
Haven Living Center in Wahoo. She was born July 1, 1923 in Weston, NE
to Adolph and Marie (Havel) Virgl. Mildred attended District 83
country school through the eighth grade and then Malmo High School for
two years.
On November 21, 1942, she was united in marriage to William Cuda at
St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. They lived on a farm
southwest of Wahoo where Mildred was involved with all aspects of the
farm operation including driving the tractors. She also raised a large
garden every year. Mildred was a parishioner at St. Wenceslaus Church
and a member of the St. Ludmilla Guild. She served on the school board
for District #32 for ten years and was a leader for the Friendship 32
4H Club for ten years.
Mildred is survived by her children and spouses, Leroy and Shirley
Cuda, Wahoo, Jan and Paul Vanderslice, Seward, NE, Leonard Cuda, Larry
Cuda, both Wahoo, Jean and Bob Schlegel, Lincoln, NE; grandchildren
and spouses, Lyle and friend Barb Vasa, Loren and Angie Cuda, Lance
and Lisa Cuda, Lamar and Jennifer Cuda, David and Rhonda Vanderslice,
Mike and Morie Vanderslice, Brian and Heather Vanderslice, Todd and
Heather Schlegel, Brad and Tera Schlegel; 15 great grandchildren. She
was receded in death by her husband William Cuda and brother Robert
Virgl.
