Dolores V. Dorothy was born Mar. 30, 1930 in Stratton, NE to Ben and Hazel (Ross) Richards. Dolores later graduated from Schuyler Public High School. She was married to Spencer B. Dorothy Jr. on June 17, 1950. They lived in David City, NE after their marriage and moved to Wahoo in 1952. Dolores stayed at home to raise their two children, Debra and Rick. When they were a little older, she began to work for Farm Bureau Insurance where she stayed for 12 years. After that, she worked as a dispatcher for the Saunders County Sherriff's Office for 25 years. She continued to live in Wahoo until two years ago when her health began to fail. She had been living in Omaha since then. Dolores passed away at Brookstone Meadows on June 8, 2010 at the age of 80 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wahoo, the VFW Post #4502 Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Wahoo. Dolores will be remembered for someone who enjoyed shopping, going out to dinner, camping, traveling, dressing up and dearly loving her dog, Scooter.
