Rosalene "Rose" M. Henrichson, age 82, resident of Ceresco, NE died
Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Saunders County Care Center in Wahoo,
NE. She was born on September 4, 1928 in rural Bruno, NE to John
and Hattie (Johnson) Roubal. Rose lived on a farm southwest of Bruno,
NE and attended grade school in Bruno before graduating from David
City High School in 1946. Rose loved polka music and would spend
a lot of time traveling to polka dances all over the country with her
polka groups. She also enjoyed making kolaches and playing bingo. Rose
married Alvoid Pelan, they later divorced and he passed away on
December 24, 2002. She later married Willis "Gus" Henrichson on
December 31, 1977 at the Havelock United Methodist Church in Lincoln,
NE. She spent her first year after high school teaching at a district
school near David City, NE. After that she worked various jobs but was
mainly a housewife. Rose was a life member of the VFW Women's
Auxiliary #4502 of Wahoo, NE and various polka groups.
Rose was preceded in death by her father, John Roubal, mother, Hattie
Masek and step-father, Fred Masek, brothers, Roman and Edward Roubal,
sister, Darlene Buresh and brother in law, Duane Henrichson. She is
survived by her husband, Willis "Gus" Henrichson, Ceresco, NE, son,
Gary Pelan, daughter, Gail Huggenberger, both of Omaha, NE,
grandchildren, Rebecca (Chad) Juranek, Stephanie Pelan, all of Omaha,
NE, Ashley Huggenberger of Australia, Lindsay (Justin) Rhodes of
Columbus, OH, 1 great grandson, step-sister, Frieda Masek of China,
brothers in law and sister in law, Merlin and Mary Henrichson of
Lincoln, NE, Jimmy Henrichson, Omaha, NE, sisters in law, Mary
Henrichson of Ceresco and JoAnn Roubal of Omaha, NE.
