William J. "Bill" Miners, 67, Wahoo, Nebraska passed away Monday, February
8, 2010 in Wahoo, Nebraska. He was born, October 5, 1942 in Wahoo to George
W.C. Miners and Nadine K. (Smersh) Miners. Bill attended Wahoo Public
Schools graduating from Wahoo High School in 1960. He then earned an
Associates Degree from Luther College and a Bachelor's Degree from Wesleyan
University. Bill loved photography and fixing up old cars especially his
1963 Rambler. He started a petition in Wahoo calling for a re-vote on the
fluoride issue and its clarity. Bill taught chemistry, math and earth
science at Mead High School, Valley High School, Silver Creek High School,
Sprague-Martel High among others. He was also employed at the state
laboratory in Lincoln, Helstar, Fairview, Wahoo Civic Center and most
recently at Region V. Bill was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in
Wahoo
Bill was preceded by his father, grandparents, 3 uncles and 2 aunts. He is
survived by his mother, Nadine Miners and sister, Nancy Miners both of
Wahoo, NE cousins and families.
