Glenn O. Mumm was born December 1, 1923, the youngest of eleven children, to Henry and Anna (Henningsen) Mumm on the family farm west of Yutan, NE. He attended a country school and  graduated from Yutan High School in 1941. His parents both died before he was 18 years old and he started working on the family farm. On February 20, 1949, he was married to Ruth Carlson at the Reformed Church in Yutan. They farmed near Leshara, NE for a short time before moving to a farm southeast of Ithaca, NE. In the early 1960's they moved to their farm southeast of Wahoo. Glenn was a lifetime farmer and was always happiest when driving one of his tractors. He was generous and always ready to help a neighbor repair their farm equipment to help them get back to the field. Through the years, he and Ruth's door was always open to his nieces and nephews. He loved his grandchildren very much and always attended their activities. Glenn passed away on October 5, 2010 in Wahoo at the age of 86 years. Glenn was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, served on the board of the Ithaca Farmers Coop and the Stocking Precinct Board and was a regular Red Cross blood donor.

Glenn is survived by his daughters and sons in law, Kay and Michael Jurgens, Ann and Gregory Crockett, his grandchildren, Brett and Janelle Jurgens, and Lauren and Grant Crockett, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth; grand daughter Alexis Grace Crockett and ten brothers and sisters.
