Barbara R. Thies, age 75, was a  resident of Wahoo, NE since 1970. Barbara was born on January 24, 1935 in Tecumseh, NE to Maxwell and Margaret Tucker. She attended Tecumseh Public Schools graduating form Tecumseh High School in 1953.  Barbara  married Ernest L. Thies on June 5, 1953 at St. John's Catholic Church in Tecumseh, NE. She worked for Platte Valley Foods in Wahoo for 20 years and for Denver Plastics in Wahoo for 10 years retiring in 2002. Barbara was a member of  St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wahoo, NE.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Thomas L. Thies, 2 brothers; Bob and James Tucker, 1 sister; Marjorie Rhodes, nieces and nephews

Barbara is survived by her children and spouses, William Thies of Octavia, NE, Mary Thies and Elaine Strough both of Wahoo, Theresa and George Throne of David City, NE, Ailene P. and Daniel Wageman of Earling, IA and Arnold Thies of Wahoo, NE. 10 grandchildren: Tina, Tracy, Tommy, Matt, Mindy, Nicole, Mike, Barbie, Amanda, Tyffani and many great grandchildren, several brothers and sisters.
