Marguerite M. "Marge" Tvrdy was born on December 30, 1933 in Lindsay, Nebraska to Louis and Elizabeth (Kurtenbach) Beiermann. She attended Holy Family Catholic Elementary and High School, graduating in 1951. She pursued her education at Norfolk Junior College and after two years began her teaching career at Norfolk, North Platte and Lincoln. In 1958, she received a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education from UNL. She was united in marriage to Ronald L. Tvrdy on December 27, 1958 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay. Marge enjoyed sewing, crocheting, tending her flowers, playing cards, going for drives and she mostly loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Marge is survived by her husband Ron, sons John (Jean) of Wahoo, Mark (Wendy) of Ceresco, daughters Ann of West Des Moines, Nancy (Marlan) Gathje of Central City and Peggy of Lincoln; grandchildren Jill, Katy and Amy Gathje, Scott, Rosalie and Julianne Tvrdy, and Rachel Tvrdy; sisters Betty (Bob) Kline of Columbus, Elaine (Delmar) Michaels of Madison; brothers Fritz Beiermann of Columbus, Edgar (Chieko) Beiermann of Tacoma, WA; sisters in law Pat Tvrdy of Lincoln and Rose Anne (Lyle) Spence of Battle Creek and was preceded in death by her parents, brother Mark, sister LaVerna Coates and two stillborn babies.
