Herman A. Wiese, age 78, was a resident of Wahoo, NE.  He died Thursday November 25, 2010 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE.  He was born February 21, 1932 in rural Bennington, NE to Louie and Caroline (Haug) Wiese.  Herman went to grade school in Papillion, NE before graduating from Bennington High School in 1949. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Herman loved cooking, quilting, making rugs, gardening, polka music and dancing. He worked as a cook for many companies and retired as a traveling corporate chef in 1996. After retirement Herman worked at Dollar General until September of 2009. Herman was a member and past king of the Polka of A Club of Nebraska.

Herman is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, baby brother Wiese, Melvin and Harold Wiese. He is survivied by his brothers and sisters in law, Roy and Virginia Wiese of Omaha, NE, Arnold and Catherine Wiese of South Bend, NE, sister and brother in law, Darlene and Cyril Vervaecke of Ashland, NE, sisters in law, Lucille Wiese of Omaha, NE, Cathleen Wiese of Blair, NE, special friend, Adeline Dostal of Wahoo, NE and nieces and nephews.
