Funeral Director |

Don Fick was born in Nebraska and raised on a
farm near Ithaca.
He attended
Mead High School and graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science
of Dallas, Texas in 1978. Don has over 28 years of experience in the
funeral business
In earlier years, he worked as a licensed funeral
director for Jim Svoboda and
also farmed near Ithaca. Don gained many
years of valuable experience working as a
funeral director in Omaha and
left John A. Gentleman Mortuaries to become
the new
owner of Svoboda Funeral Home in May, 2004. Don and Lois have
three children
and is active in his church, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Wahoo, serving
on the church
council.

Ryan Berg was born in
O'Neill, Nebraska and grew up in the funeral business. His parents, Bob
and Nancy Berg, own and operate Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. Ryan graduated from
St. Mary's High School in 1996
and attended Wayne State College
and Kansas City Kansas Community College where he earned a degree in
Mortuary Science. Ryan received his license to practice funeral
directing in 2000 and was employed at Moser Memorial Chapel in
Fremont for 5 years. Ryan is an owner of Svoboda Funeral Home and has
served families since May, 2005. He is married to Traci Berg, a
kindergarten teacher at Mead Elementary School, and is a member of St.
Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Wahoo.
Ryan has been with Svoboda Funeral Home since May, 2005.

Audrey Williams was born in Nebraska and grew up on a farm near
Ithaca..
She is a sister to Don and also graduated from Mead High School.
Audrey has 23 years of experience in funeral service. She received
training in After Care Counseling and coordinates grief support groups.
Audrey is also an Advance Funeral Planning professional.
She represents Fremont Monument Company for Svoboda Funeral Home.

Lois Fick is Don's wife and has lived
in Nebraska for the last 29 years. Lois completed graduate school at
University of Nebraska in Omaha in 1996 receiving an endorsement in
Library Media and Masters degree in Secondary Education. Lois left her position as library director at Creighton Prep
in Omaha, Nebraska to be a part of the daily
operation of Svoboda Funeral Home. She also offers a bereavement support
service to families following a loss.
